Sandra Andreis is a Swedish-Italian actress and singer who has lived and worked in various countries and cultures such as Sweden, Denmark, France, Austria, The Dominican Republic, Los Angeles and New York. She speaks fluent English, Swedish, Danish and handles French as well as German.
Sandra started out as a free-lancing journalist before turning to acting and performing full time. She has studied at the European Film College in Denmark and is a graduate of The Neighbourhood Playhouse - School of the Theatre in New York. After her graduation she appeared in several off-Broadway plays and musicals such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Rent etc. Since 2012 she has been seen in the recurring lead role as Detective Mia Holmgren in "The Sandhamn Murders"; a Swedish TV-series based on Viveca Sten's bestselling books. The TV-series has become loved by millions of viewers in Europe and the latest episode in 2018 was watched by no less than five million people in Germany alone.
Sandra has also appeared in the award winning film "Reunion" that won the FIPRESCI Prize at The Venice Film Festival and several Guldbagge Awards in Sweden. With a father who was a skilled ski instructor, Sandra grew up mixing skiing and snowboarding in the Alps with horseback riding in her native Sweden.
